I start off adding ½ c. gluten free rolled oats to my 16 oz wide mouth mason jar. I buy my gluten free rolled oats from Azure Standard in bulk ( a 25 lb. bag) It not only saves me money but I have the piece of mind of having a healthy ingredient on hand that I can use to make muffins, cookies, granola and especially overnight oats and protein bites for the kiddos.

Next I add a scoop of my favorite vanilla protein powder, I love the protein powder from Neolife. Then add ½ cup of milk. This can be any kind of milk you like…regular cows milk, or even almond or oat milk, whatever you have on hand. Finish by adding 4oz of your favorite brand and flavor of yogurt. Put the lid and band on the jar and shake well to incorporate all of the ingredients.

Store in the fridge overnight and enjoy it for breakfast or if you make it in the morning, you can have it as an afternoon snack. . You can top them with fresh or dried fruit and even some granola for a little extra crunch. If I use peach yogurt, I like to top my oats with fresh peaches…if I use a mixed berry yogurt, I will top them with dried strawberries or even frozen blueberries. If you like your overnight oats a little thicker, just add 1 tsp. of chia seeds along with the other ingredients. Overnight oats can keep up to 4 days in the fridge.
